Appeal a decision

What can you appeal?

  • Suspension or permanent closure of your account
  • A rejected ID or selfie verification
  • A removed photo, video or profile text

How is an appeal reviewed?

Every appeal is read by a member of our team; there are no automated decisions. Your account history, the reports received and your explanation are considered together. The outcome is sent to the email address registered on the account. While the review is in progress, the account stays in its current state.

What strengthens your appeal

  • The date of the decision and your account email
  • A short, clear account of what happened; the misread message or photo, if any
  • For a rejected verification: say that you are ready to take a new shot with a legible document and your face clearly visible

Which decisions are not reversed?

Accounts of members found to be married, who asked other members for money or who registered with a fake identity are closed permanently. These decisions are reversed only when the wrong person was identified. You cannot register again with the email of a banned account; trying to get around a ban with a new account violates the rules.

How long does it take?

Appeals are reviewed in order. We notify you of the outcome by email; there is no need to send another appeal in the meantime.

What happens to my data while my account is suspended?

While the account is suspended, your profile is not visible to other members and your data is not deleted. If you want to delete your account permanently, follow the steps on the account deletion page.
